Iceland volcanic ash impact status update - Flight Resumption Plan 21Apr2010, 12:30 HKT (GMT+8)

With the lifting of airspace restriction and re-opening of airport operations in Europe, we have activated our flight resumption plan to and from Europe with immediate effect.
Our first European freighter operations would be:
Ex HK : CX067/21Apr routing HKG-DXB-FCO-DXB-HKG departing HKG at 20:25L (GMT 12:25Z).
Ex Europe : CX002/21Apr routing BRU-DXB-HKG departing BRU at 16:50L (GMT 14:50Z)
We are ramping up all resources to expedite Schedule Recovery, and subject to regulatory and operational clearance, we expect to bring about half our European freighter operations back to normal by Fri 23Apr, with an aim to go back to full normal schedule by Sat 24Apr.
Our current priority is to clear backlog on hand hence the prevailing booking suspension on European services (to Mon 26Apr HKT 1200L) remains in place. We will actively review the situation to consider earlier removal of embargo.
